The clinical and internaional team has provided numerous local, national and international media consultations including participation on FQRSC's scientific advisory committee for its recently held symposium, and has been actively engaged in participating in seminars locally, nationally, and internationally.
In the months of March and April, Centre staff delivered gambling prevention workshops at local schools. With research funding from multiple governmental agencies as well as the industry and foundations, the Centre's on-going efforts have been highly instrumental in identifying the determinants that place youth at risk for gambling problems. Screening Day addresses the imperative to detect gambling-related problems as early as possible, and the Division encourages all organizations and providers to participate in this annual event.
